When can I swim at Presque Isle State Park?
The swimming season typically begins on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend and goes until Labor Day. In some cases, additional weekends after Labor Day will be added to the swimming season. Only swim when and where Lifeguards are on duty, generally from 12PM-7:30PM. Contact Lifeguard Headquarters 814-833-0526 with questions about specific dates and beaches.
Where can I swim at Presque Isle State Park?
Only swim on beaches with Presque Isle Lifeguards on duty. When entering the park, there are signs that indicate which beaches are open for swimming each day and any swimming advisories. Stay within the swimming area designated by the orange buoy markers. Follow all instructions from lifeguards.
What do those flags mean?
Red Flag: No Swimming, dangerous conditions
Yellow Flag: Swimming allowed, use extra caution, additional hazardous conditions may exist
Green Flag: Swimming allowed, use caution, general hazardous conditions may exist
